- These terms are written to cover our standard online shop, custom 3D printing orders, branded gift orders, file upload requests, and custom website services.

Orders, checkout, and contract information
- Before checkout, customers are responsible for reviewing product descriptions, selected options, quantities, customization details, shipping information, prices, taxes, and the final order total.
- Orders placed through the website are processed through secure checkout services such as Stripe. We do not store full payment card numbers on our own website.
- An order confirmation, checkout confirmation, invoice, quote approval, or written email approval may form part of the customer’s order record.
- We may refuse, cancel, or refund an order if there is a pricing error, inventory issue, technical issue, suspected fraud, unsafe request, unlawful request, intellectual property concern, or other reasonable business reason.
- Products and services are offered subject to availability, production capacity, material availability, and project review.
Prices, taxes, and currency
- Prices are shown in Canadian dollars unless clearly stated otherwise.
- Product prices, add-ons, promotion codes, shipping charges, and taxes may be updated from time to time.
- Taxes, if applicable, will be shown at checkout, on the invoice, or in the quote before payment is completed.
- Optional add-ons, custom text, special logo work, bulk pricing, rush work, or special design work may change the final price.
- Quote-only options are not fixed-price purchases until we review the request and confirm the price in writing.
Quotes and approvals
- Custom 3D printing projects, custom file print orders, custom website projects, bulk orders, and business gift orders are subject to review before acceptance.
- Quotes may consider size, complexity, colours, material, quantity, finishing, design time, print time, file preparation, packaging, shipping, and deadline requirements.
- Quotes are valid only for the time stated in the quote. If no time is stated, a quote may be updated if scope, materials, supplier costs, timelines, or customer requirements change.
- Work begins only after the quote, scope, payment terms, and required customer information are approved by email, form submission, invoice, payment, or other written confirmation.
Deposits and balances
- Custom orders, bulk orders, design work, and website projects may require a deposit before work starts.
- Deposits are applied to the approved project price unless the quote states otherwise.
- Deposits may become non-refundable once design work, file preparation, material ordering, production, project setup, research, or website work has started.
- Remaining balances may be due before shipping, pickup, delivery, file handoff, website launch, domain/hosting connection, or final release of project files.
- Unpaid projects may be paused, delayed, archived, or cancelled after reasonable notice.
Shipping and delivery
- Local pickup in Calgary: Free and available for all orders.
- Economy small-item shipping: $4.99, untracked, for eligible flat items only.
- Economy large flat shipping: $7.99, untracked, for larger eligible flat bundles that still meet flat-mail requirements.
- Tracked parcel shipping in Canada: $29.99 for bulky, thick, boxed, fragile, or larger products.
- Custom, bulk, oversized, heavy, or fragile orders: shipping quoted separately before production or delivery.
- Subtotal-based shipping discount: not offered at this time.
Important: Economy shipping is untracked and does not include tracking, delivery confirmation, or proof of delivery. If you need tracking, delivery confirmation, or proof of delivery, please choose tracked parcel shipping at checkout.
If the cart contains one bulky, thick, boxed, fragile, or larger product, the cart does not qualify for economy shipping.
Processing and production times are estimates unless specifically guaranteed in writing. Delivery timelines can be affected by order volume, material availability, production issues, carrier delays, incorrect addresses, weather, holidays, or events outside our control.
Returns, refunds, and cancellations
- Ready-made, non-custom products may be reviewed for return or replacement if they are unused, in reasonable condition, and the request is made within a reasonable time after delivery.
- Custom, personalized, made-to-order, quote-based, file-based, or special-order products are generally final sale once the design is approved, materials are ordered, production begins, or the item is completed.
- Refunds are not normally provided for customer spelling mistakes, wrong size selection, wrong colour choice, poor-quality customer files/photos, late customer feedback, change of mind, or approved custom work.
- If we make a clear production error, shipped the wrong item, or a product arrives with a verified defect, we may offer repair, replacement, store credit, refund, or another fair solution depending on the situation.
- Website deposits and custom-service deposits are generally non-refundable once work has started, unless the written quote says otherwise or applicable law requires a different result.
Custom orders, uploaded files, and customer approvals
- Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to use any STL file, 3D model, logo, photo, artwork, text, name, trademark, brand asset, character, reference image, or design submitted to us.
- By submitting files or artwork, you confirm that you own the content or have permission to use it for the requested project.
- You grant Custom3D a limited permission to view, store, modify, prepare, reproduce, print, display internally, and use submitted materials only as reasonably needed to quote, design, produce, support, or document your project.
- We may refuse files, artwork, or orders that appear unsafe, illegal, offensive, hateful, adult, sexually explicit, weapon-related, counterfeit, infringing, impossible to print properly, or outside our business standards.
- Customers must review spelling, names, dates, logos, colours, sizes, dimensions, product options, proof images, and approval messages carefully. Once approved, changes may cost extra or may not be possible.
3D printing tolerances and finish
- 3D printed products may show layer lines, small seams, minor surface texture, small colour differences, small fit variations, support marks, and normal manufacturing tolerances.
- Screen colours, photos, digital mockups, and physical filament colours may not match perfectly.
- Unless specifically agreed in writing, custom 3D printed products are not certified as structural, load-bearing, heat-resistant, food-safe, medical, electrical, child-safe, or safety-critical parts.
- Decorative items, keychains, magnets, bag tags, display pieces, and novelty products should be used only for their intended decorative or light-duty purpose.
Product safety
- Some products may contain small parts, magnets, clips, rings, cords, or detachable pieces that can create choking or injury hazards.
- Products are not intended for children under three years old unless specifically labelled as suitable.
- Products should not be chewed, swallowed, exposed to high heat, used near open flame, placed in dishwashers, or used for food contact unless the product page or quote specifically says otherwise.
- Customers are responsible for supervising use and confirming that the product is appropriate for their intended purpose.
Intellectual property
- Custom3D owns its original website content, branding, logos, product photos, graphics, layouts, copywriting, original product designs, and original project files unless we agree otherwise in writing.
- Customers keep responsibility for customer-supplied logos, names, photos, files, and brand materials.
- No copying, resale, redistribution, scraping, reproduction, or commercial use of our original content, photos, website layout, product designs, or branding is allowed without written permission.
- If a customer-provided file or logo causes an intellectual property claim, the customer is responsible for the content they supplied and for any loss, cost, or claim connected to that submitted material, to the extent permitted by law.
Custom websites, quotes, revisions, and project delivery
- Website service prices may start at a published starting rate, but the final price depends on the approved scope, number of pages, language needs, forms, e-commerce setup, integrations, design complexity, revisions, content preparation, and third-party services.
- Included pages, features, revision limits, timeline, payment schedule, and deliverables are confirmed in the quote, invoice, or written approval.
- Customers are responsible for providing accurate business information, text, photos, logos, legal wording, product details, service details, account access, and timely feedback.
- Delays in customer feedback, missing information, third-party platform issues, domain/DNS delays, payment delays, or added scope can change the launch date and final cost.
- Website ownership, handoff, or transfer of final files occurs only after full payment, unless a written agreement says otherwise.
Third-party platforms
- Custom3D websites and services may rely on third-party services such as Netlify, Stripe, Supabase, Resend, Namecheap, Google, Meta, or other hosting, payment, storage, analytics, DNS, email, or advertising providers.
- We are not responsible for outages, delays, account restrictions, policy changes, billing changes, verification delays, rejected emails, payment holds, indexing changes, ranking changes, or technical issues caused by third-party platforms.
- Third-party service fees, domain renewals, hosting fees, paid plugins, email services, payment processor fees, ads, and subscriptions are separate unless the written quote says they are included.
Marketing, promotions, and coupons
- Promotions, discounts, coupon codes, and special offers may be limited by date, product, quantity, location, customer type, order value, or other stated conditions.
- We may correct or cancel a promotion if there is an error, abuse, technical issue, or misuse.
- Order confirmations, quote replies, and service messages may be sent in relation to your order or request. Promotional messages are handled separately under our Privacy Policy and applicable consent rules.
Accounts and site use
- You are responsible for keeping your account login information secure and for making sure information submitted through your account is accurate.
- You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with checkout or uploads, upload malicious files, copy protected content, or use the site for illegal activity.
- We may suspend or restrict access if we believe an account, order, file, or activity creates a security, legal, fraud, abuse, or operational risk.
Warranty disclaimers and limitation of liability
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, products and services are provided according to the approved product description, quote, or written scope, without additional guarantees beyond what is required by applicable law or expressly confirmed in writing.
- Custom3D is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, lost profits, business interruption, ranking loss, data loss, or consequential damages arising from use of the website, products, custom work, files, or services.
- Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the amount paid for the specific product or service that caused the issue, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
Delays outside our control
- We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including supply shortages, printer failure, power outage, carrier delay, weather, labour disruption, platform outage, illness, accident, emergency, or government action.
- If a delay occurs, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate and complete the order or service fairly.
Disputes and governing law
- If a problem occurs, the customer should contact us first so we can review the issue and try to resolve it directly.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Alberta and the applicable laws of Canada, unless consumer protection law requires otherwise.
- If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the remaining sections continue to apply as much as legally possible.
- We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on the website is the current version.
